Sunday School ( 9 A.M.)

First UMC Palestine offers a wide variety of Sunday School classes to help our members grow in their faith. We invite you to visit and find the class that's right for you!

C.I.A. (Christians In Action) Class

The CIA Class is a discussion class that welcomes adults of any age, but is primarily middle-aged couples. The group is Bible-focused and uses literature from many sources. The class motto is "We agree to disagree." They meet in classroom 3 of the Fellowship Hall building.

The Two or More Class (Matthew 18:19-20)

The Two or More Class uses the Adult Bible Studies curriculum. The group focus is on projects that include evangelism through outreach and church-wide ministries to the needy. They meet in classroom 1 of the Fellowship Hall building and visitors are always welcome.

Pathfinders Class

The Pathfinders Class consists mainly of couples with children. Current Christian literature is used with a goal to deepen Bible knowledge and further one's walk with Christ. Pathfinders meet in the Carroll Building, on Regan Street.

Victor Class

(currently not meeting due to COVID concerns)

The Victor Class is an active group of mature adults. This class is a Bible study fellowship using the United Methodist adult church literature. This fun-loving group enjoys quarterly social activities. They meet in Lamely Hall, classroom 2.

Wesley Class

(This class is meeting - vaccinated individuals with masks and/or visors)

The Wesley Class is a group of mature adults that concentrates on in-depth studies of the Bible. Past studies have taken them through the entire Bible! The Wesley Class meets in Fellowship Hall, classroom 4.  

Faith Odyssey Class

(currently not meeting)

The Faith Odyssey Class emphasizes comprehensive Bible studies to stretch your mind, strengthen your spirit and deepen your faith. Faith Odyssey meets in Fellowship Hall, classroom 5.

Children's Sunday School

FUMC Palestine offers a class for elementary-age students. The class meets in the children's building.


First UMC Palestine has a combined Sunday School class for all youth in junior high and high school. They meet in the youth building across Reagan Street, south of the Sanctuary.


First UMC Palestine offers a nursery for newborns to four years old.
